Clarion call: Nigeria Youths, The Time is Now

Clarion call: Nigeria Youths, The Time is Now

It is obvious that the extant situation of the world is quiet challenging and devastating. Its ripple effect is experienced in every helm of affairs: rambling from unfunctioning education, challenged health care service and unstable economy.

Nontheless, we have realized that this ravaging virus (COVID19) has come to stay. we just have to learn to live around it. We have had many pandemics in time past such as ebola virus, cholera, influenza many others. Yet, we lived to overcome their devastating effect by curbing them to bearest minimum.

In Nigeria, 19th of August would be one of the unforgettable day; where we as students came out en masses from our havens to peacefully express our insatiable heartfelt concerning our plights on how some concerns bodies negligibly continue to mar our future on an indefinite break with no subtle hope and no convincing actions by the authority.

Our education is our future; it is an eternal passport that need to be despised with for future sustainability. Inarguably, for a Nation to thrive productively and become an enviable one amidst her other contemporaries require the innovative and creative work of her youths.

Championing innovations and enliven creativities require adequate and quality education, that is the reason why we are demanding for our civic liberty. We are tired of staying indoors. we are tired of been fed with trivial move with no effective actions. We are tired! we want our schools re-oppened! We want education! We want our right!

We are riped enough to take responsibilities for our lives by adhering to any measure to be put in place to thwart its seismic effect on our campuses. As vibrant youth, we will ensure that we advocate these on our campuses and as well use our social platforms to get many enlightened to ensure we have our environments' COVID19 free.

To the youths, it is so unfortunate with the low turn out; despite not been available for physical protest yet you still not raise the virtual voice with your media spaces but we can trend and retweet trivial activities. What a shame! Honestly, I still don't know when will we rise for the Clarion call? when will we come together as a single entity to fight for our rights? when will we be ripe to claim for our well deserved rights?

According to late Dr Nnamdi Azikwe " if you want to know the future of any Nation take a look of what the youths are doing right now"  this move is indeed a great move that every saner citizen should be proud of. We showed to the world our readiness to learn and discover new things so as to make significant turns in our societies. Not for thuggery or for terrorism but for positive transformation in prospects.

Sometimes, I smiled and made a sway when I see many who still celebrate the preposterous expression and fictious myth- the leader of tommorow. It is obvious that many still want to be regarded as a leader of tomorrow of which there is no existing structure of where to lead.

Youths let's wake up, no more tomorrow the time is now!
